Published author and world traveler, Alina Mugford clearly loves what she does. Her enthusiasm for accuracy and her passion for customer service can be clearly seen in every Translation Link effort.

Ms. Mugford’s hands-on approach has earned her several executive positions in top International companies including MPT.C.A., MAXY’ S (former Sears Roebuck-Venezuela) and Elca Cosméticos (a Venezuelan affiliate of Estee Lauder Corp). In recent years, she and The Translation Link have been recognized with numerous awards including first place in the American Translators Association ATA 2007 School Outreach challenge and runner-up Rookie Small Business of the Year 2008/ Longboat Key-Lido Key-St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce, and for direct marketing campaigns, the ANDA (Venezuelan Association of Advertising Companies) and  the AMAUTA (highest award in Interactive and Direct Marketing in Latin America).   

Throughout the course of her 20-year career, Ms. Mugford has overseen the translation of thousands of essential marketing pieces, press releases, product manuals and legal documents and has facilitated dozens of International interpretation sessions. As a backdrop to Ms. Mugford's lengthy career in translation and marketing it is keen to note she graduated Cum Laude in Modern Languages, was a Postgraduate Specialist in Integrated Marketing Communication and a University level Professor of Marketing Management and Public Relations Management.

Although fluent in several languages, Ms. Mugford’s specialty is English>Spanish translation. Company references are available upon request.
